Today, I believed I have made the right choice. I started writing in 2012, an inspiration which came about from the need to have a creative hobby that will bring both challenge and fun.

My interest later expanded to current affairs material, magazines and religious books.

Now I just take any book that grabs my interest and started reading. Since then, novels here I come! Barbara Cartland had been one of my favourite authors back in the early days. Eventually, after a long inner battle, I began to realise that the pictures are not on the pages but are created in the mind of the reader as the story unfolds. During high school when I was exposed to English Literature, it was really a struggle especially after I turned the pages and not a single picture was in site. Comics and Fairy Tales were my favourites. For the past twenty years, I have been employed to a Government entity and currently worked as a Compliance Officer.Īs a child I loved to read, but like most children, I hate reading books without pictures. Today, I am grateful because those spankings surely bear much fruit. I had my share of it, not because I was a rude child but because my teachers believed I have the ability and potential to excel. I grew up in a small rural community in the Parish of St Ann, Jamaica, in the days when the very famous phrase, “Spare not the rod and spoil the child” was the order of the day, at home, but more so at school.
